The Process of Getting Your Vehicle Wrapped

We decided to produce a resourceful article about one of the most successful visibility methods for your business-vehicle wraps! We wanted to include a step-by – step guide on how it works when you want to use your brand or marketing message to cover your car.

Initial Consultation: This initial meeting will determine what will be involved in the design process, and what portion of the vehicle you are looking to have wrapped up. At this time it will take accurate measurements and or photos of your vehicle. Obstacles such as moldings may need to be addressed.Speedy Pros

Proposal / Contract: After determining which solution will suit your needs, you will receive an accurate proposal including all the specifications, sizes, materials and design.

Project Consultation: Essential information is gathered during an initial meeting, such as your target audience, the intent of your cover, color scheme, picture collection, etc. It is generally what contributes to the elaboration of ideas.

Printed proofs: This proof is printed on the exact material which will be placed on your vehicle at approximately 4′ in width. This stage will give you the ability to give final review of the artwork before a wrap is put into production.

File Preparation: As all vehicle graphic materials come in a regular 52′′ length, it is necessary to panel the graphics as you see with wallpaper.

Large Format Printing & Lamination Ideally the concept will be printed on Premium 3 M Controltac V3 vinyl which is a pioneer in the graphics industry of vehicles. All window graphics are printed on a perforated window film product which allows you to see your vehicle’s windows out. After the graphics are printed, an over laminate will be added to the graphics to provide extra UV and abrasion protection to the graphics.

Vehicle inspection pre-installation: A vehicle inspection report is used to assess the vehicle’s condition before going ahead with graphics installation. For some instances a car may have rust spots, areas that were in an accident, areas that were repainted, and so on. It is crucial for us to identify the areas that have been impacted to the best of our ability and this may cause warranty problems down the road. Stock paint jobs with no noticeable area of rust damage which is perfect for product durability. All measurements are taken at this time, and any extra things such as plastic moldings, unwrapable fabrics, extra chrome ad dons etc are taken into account.

Vehicle Preparation: Preparing the vehicle before the graphics are installed is one of the most important aspects of a vehicle graphics project. Ultimately, taking the time to properly clean the vehicle in advance will lead to an even longer lasting product. Think of dirt or grime as something which comes between the graphics adhesive and the vehicle’s painted surface. The first step is to clean the vehicle thoroughly to ensure the wrap adheres correctly. It’s best to take the vehicle to a car wash and have them do a “simple” cleanup. You want to select an option that uses no wax, as this creates adhesion problems.
